My tubular paintings are mostly reinterpretations of other artists’ works
adapted to the cylindrical shape of the cardboard tubes I use.
My works force to make an effort of visual recomposition that initially disorients,
but which then leads to an interaction and to an interpretation definitely original.
Admiring my tubes is taking a leap into the past, it’s bringing back memories of travels, it’s going back to childhood,
it’s feeling immersed in nature and history, it’s reflecting on God, it is experiencing the suffering of men.
With my tubes I just want to make feel emotions, and
it doesn’t matter whether they are positive or negative, as long as they are emotions.
Nothing else!
